NOW is NOW is an energetic power trio formed in 2001 by singer/songwriter Mitch Alden. The band maintains an ambitious schedule of over 180 dates annually and delivers a steady repertoire of covers (which you all know the words to) from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and originals (penned by Alden). The band's steady circuit includes clubs in New Hampshire and Maine, patio gigs wherever there's a stage next to water, apres-ski gigs in all the great ski towns, and a few New York City rock clubs.
NOW is NOW's rhythm section features Chip Brindamour (bass, vocals) and Louis Dugal (drums) - both pros with extensive musical backgrounds - whose musical prowess supports Alden's heartfelt performances to create the feel good NOW is NOW experience. Alden performs many solo gigs on acoustic guitar, teams up with bass player chip for acoustic duo experiences, and has garnered a dedicated fan base of friends and followers.
NOW is NOW has released three full-length CD's: Transitions, 2002, Days of Summer, 2004, Never Go Back, 2007, "Take Me There," a summertime anthem, 2018, and "Keep Us Around," a creative venture during The Anxiety Times, 2021. Mitch has also released a full-length solo CD, Old Habits, 2011.
Mitch exclusively plays D'Addario strings.
